what an overwhelming response to the model search!! what fun this will be for all!
just a reminder, if you have NOT already booked your appointment, you need to do this soon. there are three days set aside just for model sessions, and the open times are going quickly. if you need to still schedule your appointment, you can contact the studio at 605.886.8858, or book directly online for april 3, 4, or 7 ONLY.
all sessions will occur at Kallhoff Portrait Design’s studio in uptown watertown. we are located at 306 1st ave ne, between year round brown and county fair foods. please arrive to your session no more than 10 min. ahead of your scheduled time with your child dressed and ready to be photographed. we will have a busy three days, but are VERY excited to see everyone in their beautiful dresses and smiles!

today is the ‘afternoon with an artist’ at starbucks, and i get to be the artist! i’m excited to bring out my paintings and fine art photography. these will be the pieces that i introduced at the ‘artist reception’ so, if you missed that, here is another opportunity to view the works.

We LOVE portrait work!!

in the past week, i’ve had two clients ask if i am still doing portrait work…YES is the emphatic answer!! i am STILL doing portraits–we are as busy as ever. heck, i just opened my first commercial location–i am geared up for new and fun sessions!!
i DID launch a NEW BUSINESS that is my fine art work…but, that is NOT replacing the existing Kallhoff Portrait studio. i have been blessed to be able to speak around the country, visiting incredible locations, as well as traveling to europe a couple of different times. in those travels, i was able to create some beautiful art…and that is what the new business is all about. not replacing the existing business, but complimenting it with home decor and art originals. the new business goes under the name and brand of ‘where the wind blows’ art.
So, just to clarify– we are still doing portraits!! i love love love photographing people…and will continue to explore that creative avenue that built the business. having said that, we do LIMIT THE NUMBER OF SENIORS that we photograph to 100…that is the ONLY limitation we have ever put on our portrait sessions.
If you are one of those that have heard anything different, please feel free to correct it! we are happily OPEN FOR PORTRAIT WORK and accepting new clients daily.

Perfectly Dressed Girl Spring 2009
Model Search Rules
• Purchase a dress at the spring 2009 sale and you are eligible to enter our model search contest.
• There will be two categories 6 years and younger and 7 years and older.
• Contestant must be photographed in the dress purchased at the 2009 spring sale, with the understanding that any images from these sessions may be used for advertising, either print or internet in the future. A model release form must be signed prior to your modeling session.
• The 20 minute modeling sessions will be on Friday April 3rd from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM and Saturday April 4th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Kallhoff Portrait. Please arrive at the studio on time and ready to be photographed.
• You may schedule your session at the dress sale, or if you choose you may schedule your appointment online after Sunday March 22, 2009 at www.kallhoffportrait.com during the designated time period. If you opt to schedule your session online, you must present your dress receipt at the time of the modeling session.
• If you wish to see proofs from your model session there will be a fee of $30.00.
• The images chosen for the contest will be at the discretion of the photographer.
• The contestants entry images will be posted online at www.kallhoffportrait.com/blog for two weeks where you will be able to view and vote for your favorites. The winner of each category will be based on the number of votes received, only one vote per contestant, per computer will be allowed.
• The winners will be announced at www.kallhoffportrait.com/blog on Monday April 20, 2009.
• The winners will be photographed again by Heather Kallhoff and featured in our Holiday 2009 ad campaign. The winners will receive a $50 gift certificate towards the dress of their choice from our 2009 Holiday collection & an Artists Choice 10 Image Brag Book from the model session, courtesy of Kallhoff Portrait.
