WANTED: newborn babies!

i am working on a new creative personal project and am searching for BRAND NEW BABIES as models!! i am hoping to start this project before the end of the year, or shortly after the 1st of the year…
SO, if you know of anyone pregnant, due somewhere in that timeframe…PLEASE have them contact me either via email or by contacting the studio at 605-886-8858.
as always with creative personal projects, there is no charge to the ‘model’ for the session, and if they wish to purchase images they can…but they ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO. these are artist driven sessions, so, clothing, posing, etc. is at the discretion of the artist.

and the painting starts. here are a few pictures of the train pre paint. i’ll update as the painting progresses.
i am so excited for what i see in my head…trees, ground fog, the train…SO MAGICAL!!

and i am speechless. benchmark foam did an AMAZING job on creating the set of my dreams, jaimey and matt are masters of foam. in all honesty, i was a bit worried, as i've ALWAYS built and designed my own sets, but this year with the studio move, and all the other chaos, i knew that i wouldn't have the time to build it the way it deserved to be done. again…benchmark exceeded my expectations!
it is being delivered to the new studio tomorrow morning, and i'll try to photograph it 'pre-paint' to give you all an idea of the set and hopefully get you all as excited about the sessions as i am.
i have lots of calls regarding what to wear…i really think there are 2 ways to go with this set…
1. pajamas just like the movie…hannah anderson has adorable striped jammies, or go with a great romantic nightgown, or cool footy jammies.
2. formal dressing… go for the 'dicken's look'. a great company, Perfectly Dressed Girl, has phenominal dresses, hats, etc. and will be having their trunk show out at the Convention Center, so, that's always a great source for some stunning dresses.
either way you go, this set is bound to be one full of imagination and beauty.

i LOVE the angels!!

today was such a blast…i photographed 4 sessions of individual angels and then 1 session with sisters…OH MY GAWSH…IT WAS SO FUN!
by far, this is always one of my ultimate favorite limited edition sessions. the wings are so pretty, the beauty of the little girls…curls…seriously, how could one go wrong??!
we have a FEW sessions left this week, so, if you are late in getting on our books, don't wait too much longer, as these sessions only come once a year.
after kickboxing tonite (yes, i said kickboxing), i will try to post some of the images from today…

i absolutely LOVE photographing all the little 'cherubs' that come in for the angel pictures! there is such
a beauty to the warm color, the rich gold hues, and the innocence of the wings and headpiece that make for such a wonderful personal art piece.
as always, with limited editions, we do feature special packages designed specifically for the gift giving season. these packages vary in size, along with some featuring christmas cards for sharing with all of your loved ones.

Announcing our newest holiday set…POLAR EXPRESS

I've always loved the magic of the story of the Polar Express, and this year, Kelli and I decided that we would build a set to allow us to share that 'magic' with our clients.
We are building the train, the trees, will have beautiful ground fog, all to enhance the mood and the spirit of the holiday season.
Since this set is entirely new, I do not have images to share just yet, and am looking for a few children in the month of november to help us to have some sample images.
If you are interested in letting us 'borrow' your children for 'playing' in this set, please contact the studio!
